Financial Update
Client contributions are a very important part of the Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County (MOWI) budget. Your daily, weekly, or monthly donation toward the cost of your meal service allows us to continue delivering meals to all people who need them. MOWI will not deny service to anyone who is unable to help with the cost of their meal, however, it is important that everyone give at a level they can afford. Please discuss your ability to contribute with your case manager who can help you determine a level of support that meets your budget.

Dietary Guidelines
The majority of Meals On Wheels clients have various medical conditions that require diet/nutrition modifications from a regular diet.  We have come to realize  a need to educate our clients on how to nourish themselves for their condition.  Receiving the proper nutrition is imperative for prevention and maintenance of health regardless of medical concerns.  We have developed diet instruction sheets for the following diet/nutrition concerns: Cardiac Diet, Sodium Controlled Diet, Calcium Diet, Cancer Treatment Diet, Diabetic Diet, High/Low Fiber Diet, Gastroespohageal Reflux Diet, Kidney Dialysis Diet, Limited Vitamin K Diet, Low Cholesterol Diet, Potassium Modified Diet, and Mechanically Soft Diet.  Each diet instruction sheet provides ways on how you can receive Meals On Wheels and still achieve your physician or registered dietitian prescribed diet.  Contact our Registered Dietitian for any
specific questions regarding these education pieces.

Program Evaluations
Meal recipients are surveyed regularly to determine program satisfaction, menu preferences and overall health status.   To see the results of recent surveys click here (PDF) .
