Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County and Bell have teamed up for a special fundraising event paying tribute to America’s armed forces. Our Salute to America’s Armed Forces event honors the branches of the United States military for their service to the country and our local community. Throughout the evening, we will honor Meals On Wheels clients and volunteers who have bravely fought for their country as well as current and retired military personnel for their long history of volunteer service to those in need. Plus, you won’t want to miss the special presentation to a Medal of Honor recipients.
Salute to America’s Armed Forces will be the place to be on August 11, 2018. This patriotic salute includes a cocktail reception, seated dinner, USO-style entertainment, and a lively Big Band dance band to top off the evening. Best of all, proceeds from this event will provide 20,000 nutritious meals for the homebound, elderly and disabled residents of Tarrant County. With your help, we will continue to make Tarrant County a caring place to grow old for our veterans and those in need.
We are delighted to announce the Honorary Chairs for our event, Bell CEO Mitch Snyder and The Honorable Gordon England, Former Deputy Secretary of Defense and two time Secretary of the Navy.
We welcome the attendance of our honored guest, Congresswoman Kay Granger.
