Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County is pleased to announce that after a comprehensive nationwide search, the Board of Directors has named Alissa Deaton as the new President & CEO. Alissa will succeed Carla Jutson, who is retiring at the end of September after an extraordinary 50 years of dedicated leadership.
Alissa Deaton currently serves as Vice President of Client Services for Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County, where she has been instrumental in overseeing the agency’s case management and client care initiatives. With a decade of experience at Meals On Wheels, Alissa brings a deep understanding of the organization and a passion for serving the community. She began her journey with Meals On Wheels as a case manager, quickly advancing to Case Manager Supervisor, and has held the role of VP of Client Services for the past three years.
“Alissa has a long history of caring for our clients and knows firsthand the impact our services have on the lives of those we have the privilege to serve,” said Carla Jutson, outgoing President & CEO. “I’ve known Alissa for many years and am thrilled with the Board’s decision. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that Meals On Wheels and our clients are in such capable hands.”
As President & CEO, Alissa will continue to build on the solid foundation established by Carla Jutson, focusing on enhancing the quality of services provided to the community’s most vulnerable populations. Her vision and leadership will guide Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County as it continues to grow and adapt to the evolving needs of the community.

Carla Jutson’s retirement marks the end of an era for Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County.
