Vice President Client Services

Position Overview: The Vice President Client Services will oversee the day-to day activities, services, and auxiliary resources related to the Client Services and Client Assistance programs to meet requirement of funding resources and state agencies. This position assures program compliance with relevant federal, state, and local policies, regulations, and procedures. This position will work close with all other departments at Meals On Wheels with regard to facilitation of client intakes, assessment, program on-boarding, monitoring of services, and the initiation of new programs. This position requires driving your personal vehicle for client home visits and delivery of client meals and/or agency business.

Paid As: Salary, Exempt Full-time Employee
Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday
Reports To: CEO/President
Supervises: Client Services & Client Assistance departments to include Case Managers, support staff and other staff in Client Services
Other Relationships: Works with all Meals On Wheels departments, Meals On Wheels Board Members, Meals On Wheels clients and community partners, agencies and volunteers

 

AGENCY EXPECTATION OF EMPLOYEE
– Maintain confidentiality of client, donor, volunteer, staff and board information
– Support the mission, vision and goals of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County
– Represent Meals On Wheels in a professional manner at all times
– Must have dependable transportation, valid driver license and personal vehicle insurance as required by the
State of Texas
– Required to pass criminal background check and have a free and clear MVR
– Assist with meal delivery when volunteer callouts make it necessary for staff to deliver
– Contribute to other projects when necessary

 

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
– Support the overall vision and strategic plan for Client Services and Client Assistance
– Be an inspiring role model by challenging and maximizing the strength of the team
– Align team efforts to the mission and vision of the organization
– Provide direct supervision of Case Managers, support staff, volunteers and other staff assigned in Client Services
– Serve as a lead spokesperson for Client Services
– Work positively in a fast-paced environment with the understanding that changes occur frequently
– Drive staff to manage change in a professional manner
– Communicate regularly with CEO/President of Meals On Wheels
– Work directly with multiple community partners in a professional and eager manner
– Meet hard deadlines with accurate information and maintain accurate data in the client database
– Cross train in other leadership roles within Client Services department
– Attend and participate with Administration staff meetings
– Work with Accounting, Operations, Marketing, Volunteer and Nutrition departments as a resource for reporting
– Monitor data for reporting as it is time sensitive with hard deadlines
– Plan monthly department staff meetings
– Review and implement department policy and training handbook
– Develop and manage guidelines for providing services in response to disaster or emergency situations

 

QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
– Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer software programs
– Advanced Microsoft Office Excel preferred

 

REQUIREMENTS
– Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
– Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
– Communicate with a clear, concise and empathetic manner with clients, donors, volunteers, staff, board
members and other local agencies
– Create and conduct presentations to local groups and agencies when needed
– Able to work after hours and weekends when required for special initiatives or events
– Capable to lift, load and unload 40 lbs.
– Adept to climb stairs, repeatedly get in and out of vehicle, reach, stretch, bend and sit for long periods of time

 

EXPERIENCE
– Minimum 7 years’ experience in social work or related field
– Minimum 2 years’ experience in supervising staff
– Proficient crisis intervention skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
– Strong supervisory, leadership, organization and time management skills
