Who Qualifies?

Meals on Wheels serves anyone in Tarrant County who meets the following criteria:

Homebound Residents

People who have difficulty leaving their home due to age, illness, disability, or limited mobility.

Unable to Cook Meals

Individuals who cannot safely shop for groceries or prepare nutritious meals on their own.

No Regular Caregiver

People who do not have someone at home who can regularly help with meal preparation.

Eligibility is based on need, not age or income. If you are unsure whether you or someone you know qualifies, contact us. We are here to help determine the best option.

    Is there a cost for meals?

    Clients may make a voluntary contribution if able, but no one is ever approved or denied service based on ability to pay. Our services are funded through donations and grants.

    What areas do you serve?

    We serve all of Tarrant County, Texas, including Fort Worth, Arlington, Haltom City, Mansfield, Keller, and all incorporated and unincorporated areas within the county.

    How quickly can meals start?

    Most meal deliveries begin within a few business days of completing your request and a brief eligibility review.

    Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

    Yes. We offer options for many common dietary needs. Let us know during your request so we can plan the right meals for you.

    What happens during holidays?

    We plan ahead for holidays so no one goes without. You will receive details on any schedule changes before they happen.

    What if my situation changes?

    Your needs can change, and that is okay. Call us any time to pause, restart, or adjust your meal service.
