Position Description
Position Overview: The Client Assistance Manager will recruit, train and schedule volunteers for specific client projects and oversee needed services. The Client Assistance Manager will report directly to the VP Client Services and work with the Client Services Supervisor, case managers and other staff within the Client Assistance program and Client Services department in determining client needs and then with volunteers, organizations, and tradespeople to fulfill those needs and projects.
Paid As: Salary, Exempt Full-Time Employee
Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday
Reports To: VP Client Services
Supervisory: Client Communication Coordinator, Client Assistance Coordinator and other Client Assistance staff
Other Relationships: Works with Operations/Finance Department, Nutrition Department, Marketing Department, Meals On Wheels Board Members, community volunteers, and Meals On Wheels clientele.

- Maintain confidentiality of client, donor, volunteer, staff and board information
- Support the mission, vision and goals of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County
- Represent Meals On Wheels in a professional manner at all times
- Must have dependable transportation, valid driver license and personal vehicle insurance as required by the State of Texas
- Required to pass criminal background check and have a free and clear MVR
- Assist with meal delivery when volunteer callouts make it necessary for staff to deliver
- Contribute to other projects when necessary
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
- Provide leadership and project direction
- Solicit and evaluate potential client projects
- Recruit, train and manage volunteers and Client Assistance program staff
- Develop and nurture collaborative relationships with other non-profit and faith-based organizations and community groups
- Make presentations to individuals and/or groups to solicit potential volunteers and promote the Agency
- Ensure that appropriate records are maintained regarding clients and service delivery and reporting requirements
- Network with area services providers, agencies, organizations and local governments
- Make public appearances in order to promote and explain the services of the Agency and provide educational programming relevant to the Agency’s mission
- Search out and coordinate with every program available to ensure that existing resources are used first
- Help clients get what they need much quicker and in a safe manner
- Purchase products and equipment for clients
- Assist and schedule volunteers for the Companion Pet Meals program, including pet food delivery, grooming and veterinary appointments
- Assist individuals when they come to pick up Ensure and Glucerna
- Maintain supply rooms with products and equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma
- 2-4 Year College degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite using Outlook and Excel
- Advanced Microsoft Office Excel preferred

- Must have a strong passion to help others
- A self-starter who can work independently with limited supervision and also as part of a team
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Must be a self-starter and able to manage multiple projects, work independently and as a team
- Willingness to work irregular and flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Maintain professional conduct and represent the agency in a professional manner
- Physically able to lift and carry objects of 25 pounds
- Physically able to enter/exit your vehicle multiple times a day, walk up and down stairs, reach, stretch, bend, and sit for multiple hours at a time
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in a supervisory role or has experience working in a similar field
- Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
- Strong leadership, organization and time management skills
