Endowment
An endowment gift to Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County Endowment Fund provides a brighter picture for our future. When you donate to our endowment, you give a gift with long-term benefits.
All endowment donations are invested. The endowment Trustees determine an annual distribution from a portion of the income generated on the Fund. This distribution is primarily for meals unless the donor specified another program or operational need. A portion of the annual income from the endowment fund investment is used to address immediate Agency needs. The remaining funds are reinvested to ensure indefinite support by providing nutritious meals to our neighbors in need.
Your generous monetary donation to the Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County Endowment Fund will provide hot, nutritious meals to homebound, elderly, disabled, and food- insecure clients in Tarrant County for many years to come. You can also make a gift to the endowment fund as part of your estate planning.

Legacy Society
Members of the Legacy Society share a strong bond of generosity that nourishes the soul and improves the quality of life for the homebound, elderly, disabled, and food-insecure residents of Tarrant County.
Legacy Society Membership:
- Include Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County in your will or estate plan
- Make annual contributions of at least $2,500 to current program operations
- Establish a Named Fund with a gift to our endowment fund.
- Fund-A-Meal Forever – a one-time gift of $24,000 will provide meals for one person FOREVER!
- Named Funds – a one-time gift of $5,000 will provide 50 meals per year FOREVER!

Qualified Charitable Distribution
Individuals age 70.5 or older with a traditional IRA are eligible to make a potential tax-free donation to Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County from their IRAs. These gifts are tax-free, regardless of whether you itemize deductions on your tax return. If you are 72 years old or older, these gifts can even count toward fulfilling your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) for the calendar year.
