Client Services Supervisor

Position Overview: This position will oversee the day-to day activities of the Client Services program and direct supervise up to 15 case managers. This position will work closely with all other departments at Meals On Wheels with regard to facilitation of client intakes, assessment, program onboarding, monitoring of services, and the initiation of new programs. This position requires driving your personal vehicle for client home visits and delivery of client meals and/or agency business.

 

Paid As: Salary, Exempt Full-Time Employee

Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday – Thursday & 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM Friday

Reports To: VP Client Services

Supervisory: Case Managers

Other Relationships: Works with all Meals On Wheels departments, Meals On Wheels Board Members, Meals On Wheels clients, and community partners, agencies and volunteers.

 AGENCY EXPECTATION OF EMPLOYEE

  • Maintain confidentiality of client, donor, volunteer, staff and board information
  • Support the mission, vision and goals of Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County
  • Represent Meals On Wheels in a professional manner at all times
  • Must have dependable transportation, valid driver license and personal vehicle insurance as required by the State of Texas
  • Required to pass criminal background check and have a free and clear MVR
  • Assist with meal delivery when volunteer callouts make it necessary for staff to deliver
  • Contribute to other projects when necessary

 ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS

  • Support the overall vision and strategic plan for the Client Services department
  • Be an motivating role model by challenging and maximizing the strength of the team
  • Align team and individual efforts to the mission and vision of the organization
  • Provide direct supervision of case managers within the Client Services department
  • Work positively in a fast-paced environment with the understanding that changes occur frequently
  • Drive staff to manage change in a professional manner
  • Communicate regularly with the VP Client Services
  • Work directly with multiple community partners in a professional and eager manner
  • Meet hard deadlines with accurate information and maintain accurate data in the client database
  • Cross train in other leadership roles within Client Services department
  • Fulfill vacant roles for VP Client Services, Client Assistance Manager, Client Communication Coordinator and case managers
  • Work with Accounting, Operations, Marketing, Volunteer and Nutrition departments as a resource for reporting
  • Monitor data for reporting as it is time sensitive with hard deadlines
  • Data entry and reporting, meal delivery, handling client emergencies, training new staff, attending public and zoom meetings, staffing and driving the Agency truck
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP Client Services or required by Agency programs

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year degree in social work, human services, psychology, sociology or related field
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer software programs
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel preferred

 REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years’ relevant work experience
  • Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Communicate with a clear, concise and empathetic manner with clients, donors, volunteers, staff and board members
  • Able to work after hours and weekends when required for special initiatives or events
  • Capable to lift, load and unload 40 lbs.
  • Adept to climb stairs, repeatedly get in and out of vehicle, reach, stretch, bend and sit for long periods of time

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a supervisory role or has experience working in a similar field
  • Strong crisis intervention skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
  • Strong leadership, organization and time management skills
