July 3, 2017 — TXU Energy’s Beat the Heat Program Provides Cool Relief for Tarrant County Residents.  TXU Energy and Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County have teamed up to ensure 73-year-old Meals On Wheels client, Ms. Louann, can remain in her home this summer despite the soaring summer temperatures.   TXU Energy, a long-time Meals On Wheels partner, will install a window air conditioning unit in Ms. Louann’s home free of charge on July 5, 2017. As part of TXU Energy’s 19th annual Beat the Heat program, a recent $5,000 donation to Meals On Wheels helped purchase 15 air conditioning units, which will be distributed, along with heat safety messages, to area seniors and homebound clients across Tarrant County.
